NEW Mayfair restaurant gets CCE’s star treatment
Coya, a swish new Peruvian restaurant and cocktail bar opened by renowned restaurateur Arjun Waney at 188 Piccadilly, is the latest to the get star treatment from CCE, the top commercial kitchen company whose prestigious clients boast no fewer than 35 Michelin stars between them.
“We do a lot of work for Michelin star chefs and 4* and 5* hotels” says Martin Harvey, Contracts Manager at CCE, “so Coya was a great project for us to work on baring in mind our skill sets and experience in creating a smooth interface for complex projects such as this.”
“We were the commercial kitchen manufacturer on the project. The head Chef, Sanjay Dwivedi, brought us on board after designing the shell of the kitchen himself with Trevor Jones of Green Design, and because of the nature of the site pretty much everything had to be custom made in our factory.”
“Sanjay knew the equipment and wanted particular products in there – we brought everything together, project managed the whole operation with the different suppliers and made sure all the different elements fitted into what is a very successful result.”
Sanjay adds: “CCE Group Ltd were very efficient in all aspects of what they did. They were very flexible, finished ahead of schedule and everything was done in a very professional manner.”
CCE (Contract Catering Equipment) started life in 1987 when Ray Costelloe began a business with just enough money to cover the first month’s rent. Now, 25 years later, the company has two fully operational factories, a design studio and employs more than 45 people.
Ray Costelloe is very much known as a professional’s professional and has almost become a celebrity in his own right: his company services and supplies the kitchens of the UKs leading hotels and restaurants, such as Le Caprice, The Ivy, Scotts, Daphnes and the Rivington Bar and Grill.
